Is he saying the car weighs 100 lbs less with an auto vs a manual?

I think so. So I'm not sure where he got the 100 lbs of weight shed, unless he gutted the car.

I gotcha!

I've got a buddy that went 11.20s with a stock bottom end 6.0 with a smaller cam and some stage 2 5.3 heads. but he had a slighly larger converter.

I'm just trying to get an idea of where I will be, I went yesterday to k.I.d. and some of those street class cars are wicked! I've never been to the track till yesterday but I sure got a kick out of the fwd class they sound sooo fast staging with the 2 step and then run 15s

What do you have in terms of suspension? If you can hook I would say low 11s are very doable.

I don't know if anyone realizes this but the OP's car won't be any lighter. If a 100lbs of weight was taken out of the car, it surely was added right back with an IRON 6.0L

LOL! Good point.

Have you had the car weighed OP? Any local truck stop will weigh it for you for about $5-$10, and they're accurate within 20 lbs.

An iron 6.0 shouldn't weigh that much more than the lt1 if I'm not mistaken.

No problem. But if I can hit low 11s I'm gonna have to add a 200 shot of spray. Just to make sure.
