Default Manual Steering Rack

So how long is everyone getting their steering racks to last without excessive play in the steering system? Greater than one inch before the wheels start to move when you move the steering wheel clockwise or counter clockwise.

Chances are you have slop in the steering shaft joints... One of the reasons I use only the high quality joints with the sealed needle bearings. For no more miles than the avrerage street/strip cars will see there is no reason for there to be any slop in the steering.
