Joe is my mentor and I work with him every day, know I understand why he wants to retire and get away from idiots.

lol it matters because it cost more and its fits worse than the cheaper hood. The thread starter wanted an honest opinion and he got it.

Are there any out there?.

If not the only other choice is the VFN 5" Sloped Hood.
Which is a very nice hood, but everybody has one.
Just trying to be different.

Heres my VFN bolt on sloped hood. Fits really good, but i would go with a Joe O in a heartbeat! IMO the Joe O is the best looking hood you can have for these cars.

My VHN hood fit like **** on my trans am. The one on my camaro also has horrible fitment. I wish I had a hood that was cut to fit instead of HUGE gaps.

I would have loved to bought one that fit.
These are not promods you retard how hard would it be to make a hood that fits? I would think a "master" could make that happen.

I think both of you idiots should retire.

It is obviously rocket science because VHN sure can't sell one that fits.
Sure it may be bullshit having to remove a bunch of material to get it to fit, but having big gaps is worse.

I have 2 huge gaps where the Joe O. hood doesnt cover and the vfn has the "wings" built on it already.

So having to cut and add really sucks.

Well it sounds like they both suck to me. My VHN has the wings but has 2" gaps in the worse spots.
What about glasstech, I have heard there stuff is better than VHN?

You know what the spec on a factory hood to fender gap is on these cars ? 6mm +/- 4mm so your car could either be 2mm gap or 10mm or anything in between. How does one mold provide a good hood for everyone. YOU MAKE IT CUT TO FIT!!! both Joe and I have tons of business, so go buy one from someone else. We make HARDCORE RACING PARTS FOR HARDCORE RACERS

If you look around there are new and used Joe van O hoods around, fastblackta (Conrad) has one, Mark Koehler (OH Boys) has one too for sale. Neither was CF FWIW.

When we were looking for a replacement one for Andy wanted to another one but only in CF and nobody had one around. Since VFN is our in backyard picked one of theirs up. Joe's hood is very nicely styled though.

Glasstek makes a better product then VFN, but they don't offer as many different designs.
