I would check your converter slip %. I would also check for any signs of detonation or pulled timing on the top of the track.

I scanned the thread so forgive me if I missed some points.

You need to be certain the car didn't go into OD, if you're not, I wouldn't touch a thing without going back to the track and making more passes to check.

If the car did stay in 3rd gear (I always have my shifter in D) I would look at the converter being inefficient up top. That is of course if the trans is healthy

I will say the Yank's are known for trapping higher than say vigilante and a few others. Im betting there is some slippage in the stock trans. Either way i would be happy, its already running low 11's and if that is the case you got a 10 sec car when fixed.

I got the 9" with 4.30's installed, FLT LVL 7 4l60e installed, same converter, yank ss4000 and same tires, mt dr 27.8". I am going back to the track this sunday if the rain holds off. Hope for some new and possibly better times

you gained both et & mph,good job!

i had a full weight 98 z28 that dynoed 407rwhp with a pt4000 & flt lvl4 and 373 gears in the 10 bolt & et streets.
it went,
1.48 60'
7.00 1/8th @ 100mph
11.08 @ 121.? in the 1/4

1 more pass that night & i would of ran 10.9?s

100mph in the 1/8th? Should be trapping higher than 121 on the big end.
