Default 1/4 mile time with cutout open vs closed?

Just curious, setting up my TA for first runs next week. Seems like with the Gtech, I get some better times with the cutout closed. When open, I have more trouble making her stick.

A4 with Nitto DR's.

Any runs by people with open vs closed? Opinions? Thanks!

DIttto, I gain 2 to 3 mph and 2 to 3 tenths. 11.9's closed and 11.6's to 11.7's open.

it makes more hp and tq on the dyno so it will certainly make the car go faster. try it out, but everyone i know goes faster with one open.

I have a cut-out on my truck, it seems to lose low end when it is open. I have not run it at the track open because of this...guess I should try.

I gain a solid tenth and about .6 - .7 MPH with my car, but it's very mildly modded. HTH

low tq is of no consequences assuming you are actually shifting the car correctly. a cutout will ADD tq over the entire rpm band while racing.

That's why it has a cap on it.

Capped on the street, opened at the track

last year i gained NOTHING at the track from my cutout being opened. i'm going to try again this year with the new mods and tunning and see if it will show some gain.
