Pewter B4C Street/Strip Build

Little update...
Been to the track twice, once on Nitto DRs, once on MT Radials. On the Nittos in 400DA the car went 12.78@109 w/ a 1.9 60', last week on the MT Radials it went 12.65@107 w/ a 1.82 60' in 1450DA. Car needs some suspension, it is using all stock components still - and I'm sure the cut springs aren't helping w/o a LCA relocation bracket in the rear. Oh well, it's on the list. I was glad to get a couple decent passes out of it - in mediocre air with a mediocre 60' it went a 12.65 and 12.66 back to back. Should be good for deep 12s with a 1.6 60'
On to the next round of summer mods. I recently put up my interior for sale (ebony seats, carpet, door panels). I started pulling it all out this weekend and finished tonight. All in all the metal on the car looks good, with the exception of a rusted area I found when BFH'ing the rear quarters a couple months ago. Pics below. I'll probably cut that area out and weld in a patch so it doesn't spread.
Doubled my life savings...
Plans are to remove all the sound deadening crap, firewall mat/deadening, cut out the excess metal that I can (without too much trouble), and put in some ozite carpet and a pair of Corbeau Forza seats. I'm on the fence if I wanna put a rollbar in the car yet or not. It won't really justify it for some time, and since I'm trying to get the car faster on the current power the extra weight won't help things at the moment. BUT, I know putting in a 6 point now would be ideal while the cars apart/carpets out...hmmmmm. Also going to pull the dash and cut the weight and some of the A/C stuff a la chrs1313 style ducting to retain the heat and defrost. Also wanna get a new steering wheel in the car and delete the air bags. Streetable racecar FTW.

I can offer a little frindly advice, if u think u may ever want the roll bar, do it now while its gutted. Mine was 75% gutted when i did mine, bolt in. And i still found myself removing things to get it perfect, would have killed for it to be bare like urs is. And i can offer a review, the wolfe 6pt bolt in, is great. Fit and finish are top notch. Shipping sucks, 175 bucks, but im glad i did it.

Yeah I think I've decided on a wolfe 5 point bolt-in. I can get one for <$600, be NHRA legal with the door bar on the driver side - use a swingout style so the bar won't be in the way for street driving, and the passenger won't have to fool with moving it out of the way. Plus it cuts weight there, cost, and will still be legal to 10.0s at the local track. Not real worried about shipping, I'll make a saturday out of it when the time comes (hopefully in the next couple months) and drive down to pick it up - they're only about 3 hours from me.

Yeah crazy day yesterday, tornado was tracking directly to my house and luckily it ended up tracking northeast and missed our house by 1/4 mile. Scary though seeing that 2 mile wide bastard heading right for your place when you're stuck at work and your 2 year olds at home with the grandparents.

Back from the dead, thought I'd update some recent doings.
Well I thought about abandoning this project in favor of another car I picked up, but once I got that car here I decided I'd hold onto this one. This pewter one is what I was on the hunt for from the get-go, so it'll be the one I continue to build. Some of the parts from the other car will find their way to this one soon. For now this car's just a shell waiting for some TLC...

After a little unplanned hiatus I'm finally getting back into this car. I'd bought another, pulled some good parts from it, and finally got it sold back in April. Finally getting motivated and some time to get moving on the full build of this car.
Been pulling parts off the front/engine bay getting it ready to fill holes and paint.
Sanded/purple powered the wheelwells and front suspension metal, then painted with VHT GM satin black spray paint - stuff is incredible. Did 3 coats, and it takes some serious effort to chip it off scratching it with a screwdriver (tried this morning after painting yesterday). Before and after... not same side but you get the idea....
I didn't get a pic yet, but I was amazed how well tire shine worked on the inner fender plastics. Stuff looks awesome now with a coat of it on there after cleaning it up.
I'll post up in a couple days with pics of the engine bay hole filling process. I heard great things about the POR15 Epoxy Putty, gonna use it to fill the holes.

A little, had life get in the way - sold my daily and got another, put some money in that car. But I did buy the motor, rollbar, and some odds and ends for this thing.
Engine bay is about ready for paint, I'm gonna finish trimming the front end for the new radiator (standing it up) and get it masked/painted up here in the next few weeks before it starts getting cold. Then get the front suspension back under it, rear in it, and new wheels on it. Still a ton left to do, but it'll get there. I'm not in a real hurry, taking my time and doing it right the first time instead of wishing I'd done something different later while it was down.
