Hot Rod Pump Gas Drag tune up is ready :)
well thanks to good friends again! Rob, Roman, Randy, Steve, Jim! had a good day to run a 100 shot into the motor, i shook off the cobwebs and began to rape my gearbox on pump gas of course!
best was a 10.2 @ 136.44 mph, traction could've been better but i will take it!
made a bunch of more passes.... 10.3, 10.4, 10.4, and 10.5 unfortunately bottle pressure was not where it normally was, down around 900 psi at the beginning of the run
also i borrowed some radials mounted to pro stars, ooooh aaaah, scary at the top end!!!! radials(albeit skinny) and dot slicks don't mix and match the best! also it didn't help that some guy sprayed brake fluid on the top end, doh!!!!
iw as happy with the fact that, my tuneup today was within 1 mph of last weeks license passes at the eight mile! confidence is back, and the tuneups last week were super safe!
bring on the south!!!

thanks Coach, i am hoping for 9.99's on the small shot at a good track, my mph puts me really close to it, i can live with 10.0's i have heard memphis is a really nice track! even better than Norwalk! wow! 6000rpm dumps will be in order. i might even move the limiters down one notch! allow for a bit more weight transfer!

Taner,
Nice runs we are hoping to get some runs in today for SR71bbJR's car (Bryan Pomeroy's 2000SS). We had thought we would have had everything ready FAR before now but the new setup had taken FOREVER.
Little things like battery relocation, PUSH button on/off power switch, new custom brake lines, new intake & throttle body setup, new T350 tranny setup, larger tire setup, new seat belt harness setup, new WOLFE suspension pieces, YADA YADA YADA. We will be leaving THURS. morning and running at Memphis Thurs night. These PUMP GAS DRAGS should be a GAS (no pun intended) See you there. GREG Pomeroy (Dad)

Just to let you know, Memphis is a super nice track and has a new surface from last year. I haven't been there this year yet, but a buddy of mine ran it last weekend and said that is super sticky. He was running dr's and was stuck so good off of the line it was bogging the car, so launching hard is gonna be a definate

i will be sure to give her heck! damn shame it wasn't the VP110 leaded gas drags, lol!!!
i would have dropped the 350 hit into her, and held on for dear life
6speeds rule! ok time for bed and no more beer, i promise! i solved my "run like ****" problem, i installed a new o2 and she likes to idle once again! unfortunately i had dumped some 100 leaded octane in her a few weeks ago with the god o2's on the car, wrong thing to do!!!
valves are lashed and she is clean as a whistle! just a couple of small things to do and that is it! unfortunately no time to do the y pipe over i am going full dress, stock seats, and SLP2otl all the way to the back!
