Stalled auto and tires is good for atleast a half a second if not more depending on the driver in your case and in my case .5 sec would be awesome lol. Thing is you have the better motor from the get go if you build it right you can beat him with ease my friend spec'd most of my upgrades for me because i used to be in your shoes so his advice was a 3600 stall for me. for you, i would do what Lemons said make sure you are clear on what you have done already like the gears and what you are looking to do with your car! everything needs to match up right or you wont be able to do anything. Good luck

if money isnt a problem then call Comp Cams and talk to them then contact AFR and get the right heads also make sure you get the 80E transmission and a moser 12 bolt thats start flanged and gun drilled and with 4:10 gears. then id say a 4000 to 4500 stall for the 80E transmission and a turbo to top it all off on 15lbs of boost then youd be sitting pretty nice.

Then enjoy how much he would have to do to keep up.
Spend the remaining $225 on upgrading from used to new DR's, instead of using someone else's spent tires.

do you do a burn out before you line up? bogging down could mean a fuel issue, well it usually is for a carburetor at least. Is it throwing any codes?
