U dont have to cut the suspension top get 28" tires to fit. The height will require some clearencing of the fender well. Its the width of the tire that will make u have to cut the suspension.

i run hoosier 27*11.5's and the car is lowered one inch. i had to roll the fenders and beat in the fender well up at the front near the lca. but i did not have to trim the rear bumper.
these are on a weld pro star 10" wide and 7.5 b.s. with a 5/16 spacer.
