Default First run with new TCI prepped Yank converter

Well I finally made it out to the track with my TCI prepped Yank PT4000 converter and I was very pleased to run the following. The DA was ~+1800 and the race weight was ~3520. This converter pulls like a freight train.

60’----1.57
1/8-----7.23
MPH---94.52
¼------11.38
MPH—118.11

The new name for the converter is “TCI-SSF-PT4000”.
The Yank PT4xxx best before I had TCI fix it was 11.18 @ 120.24 on a 1.54 60’. The DA was -968 and the race weight was 3350.
If the weather conditions and race weight were the same I am sure I would have gone quicker than 11.18.

I can not say enough about the quality of the converter and the service I received from TCI and Kevin Winstead. The welds on the converter are perfect as well as the balance of the converter. With the Yank there was a vibration starting at 2200 rpm and the welds were sloppy.

Overall I am very happy with my decision to have TCI fix my Yank PT4000 that was still under the Yank “warranty”. The converter performance, streetability, and the TCI customer service have been outstanding. I will defiantly do business with TCI again.

TCI is a class act.

My converter will go right to TCI if it needs any work done to it, I'll probably send it there at the end of this year to get the lockup clutch checked out and get it rebalanced also. It has a nasty vibration ~2100..
