T-N-T days/nites are VERY different from "Race day".

And I've never seen them ask for a license unless it was a 9.99 or faster car. (NHRA License)
Maybe it's only at SACTIONED events they ask for it ?
Really? That's pretty damn impressive. As the rulebook reads, "Each driver of a vehicle entered in any event conducted at an NHRA member track must have a valid state or government - issued driver’s license beyond a learner’s - permit level or NHRA Competition License subject to inspection by officials at any time." I don't know if test and tune is an event. I'm sure it varies track to track. Nonetheless, its really dumb to do what the OP is describing.

As opposed to street racing ?

Or racing at a track without a license ?
*where regular insurance will NOT cover you IF you have an accident.(a lot have NO Ins.)
*where there is EMT and Ambulance is on stand-by.
*where there's no other traffic.

No license, no insurance, racing on the highway, and somehow worries about racing next to another car at the track and "putting others and themselves in danger" are my issues.

Where I live at theirs a 2 lane hwy down the road that has almost no traffic at night so it's not like im racing around in traffic... Either way I know it's illegal but just saying I live in the country and go to a school of 150 ish kids if that gives you a mental picture of what type of traffic there is lol... Virtually none
