Carbon Fiber hardtop roof panels now available at MWC! You asked for it, MWC makes it happen!
We now have the complete oem dimension roof panels available for those of you with bubbled paint that can't be fixed or t-top cars looking to convert to hard top.
This carbon panel is ultra-high quality and is constructed of the same materials and process similar to Pro Stock cars use. Best thing is if you have a track-only car and do the conversion from t-top to this panel and eliminate the oem excess steel from the roof area and pillars there is a good 80+ pound savings for this setup. Our roof panel weighs a mere 5.4 pounds!

Eric, how difficult is this roof panel to install on a car. If you could give me the quick version, and or what you would charge to do this also. Im thinking about doing your cowell kit and lexan glass over the winter and would also like the weight savings of this roof panel.

The original roof is retained by urethane glue like a windshield. It's not too much fun to remove if you are planning on keeping it. The factory roof is 1/4" thick fiberglass and all one piece, there is urethane around the perimeter and down the center t-top rail. R&R will include pulling the headliner and interior panels(not too tough to do). I use a combination of tools to do the job.
Cost of install here will depend on what all is being done as far as weight removal, if any. We can do a simple roof replacement job, or we can do the full weight removal plan where 60-80 pounds will be lost.

No reason these tops can't be used on a street car. The roof panel does not affect the weatherstrips or other mouldings on this or factory units. We will be offering a t-top conversion kit as there needs to be a part added to the roof line at the top of the door to support the roof panel and the full door weatherstrip.

We have several of these very high quality panels in stock and ready to ship. The quality of the finish is impecable and fit is awesome. For anyone looking to get rid of t-tops or lighten up your racecar this is a great piece to do the job!

Ive seen these in person and the quality is fantastic! If I had more time this spring, I would of installed one on my car to get rid of the crappy stock piece.

It would be awesome to see these installed with some better pictures. With the price per weight lost this could be a reasonable way to trim weight for even the novice racer.

We just got a hardtop roof off of a car here we are doing the chassis on... never had a chance to weigh one before as we have been doing the t-top conversions. The carbon roof is under 5lbs. I will weigh the oem fiberglass cap and post up what the difference is between the two for apples to apples on that, but a bunch more comes from the metal removal part(that we do anyway). I can tell you the difference in a t-top car to the carbon hardtop with metal removal is well over 80 pounds.
