It still has ac, cruise, all seats(fronts are carbon race seats) and belts, all but 2 little patches of sound deadening. I did take the air bags out, they are 20lb for both. Not really why I took them out though.

With my drag pack, no front bar, jack/spare gone, cleaned out and it goes 3050~ depending on fuel load.

There are lots of places to get weight off these cars. Removing 200lb is cake

He is doing very good.... my buddies car went 3080, with k-member, brakes all around, no a/c, mwc bumper supports, bolt on sonoco hood, weld magnums(275 radials out back) nitrous system, and 3/8 tank of fuel. Good bit of other junk was out of the car too. Still factory front seats, radio, a/c controls, carpet etc.

This is with the electric driver seat and electric windows. I have a lot more planned, with a 9 inch and 4130 10-point I would like to weigh 3400lbs. I have no "lightweight" parts like k-member or anything like that.

Your only limited to how crazy you want to get and how much time and money you want to put into it.

I personally am a weight reduction ***** because the better majority of it is free.
So instead of telling us about all the things you retained, how about a list detailing what you removed to get the weight down?

I'll have to get a list guys. I don't remember what all we took out right off hand.

and to the hole saw. these is NO wholes drilled in this car that were not factory. There was absolutely NO cutting done to the car at that time. Since then I cut the cowl panel and all of the hood mounts, hinges etc and going to a lift off hood to help make up for the added weight of the 4l80

Way easy.

My car weighed 3440 stock hardtop, cloth, A4 car.

Removed the spare and jack
window washer reservoir
AC, heater box ( you can modify this to retain heat only while cleaning up the engine bay side, search chris1313 for a thread showing how)
rear seats, all rear seat brackets
excess seam sealer
sunoco hood
rear speakers
kirkeys replaced stock seats
lightweight carpet

I expect my car to be around 3200 lbs.

I still have a stock k-member in the car, heavy *** 17x11 ZR1s (they weigh 65-66lbs each with my DRs), stock shocks....so there is still some weight I could take out amongst other places too....

I agree its way easy to get down to 3300 I'm at 3250 without me in it if that makes a difference. But I don't buy 3140 with jack, ac, rear seats, and everything else in that post.

Why not? You didn't even ask what he has done to get there?

Carbon fiber hood -21
light weight kmember -25
19lb clutch assy -30
Hole sawed bumper supports -20
light weight battery -30
carbon fiber buckets -43
strano springs -14
Airbags -20
EGR/air pump etc... -15

Those mods alone are 218lbs out of the car (not counting exhaust mods), i know he's done ALOT more light weight tricks here and there. Open your mind.

3430-218lbs=3222

Other parts i know he has drop weight that i don't know the exact weight off is UDP, LT's, ORY, exhaust setup, brake setup, water pump mods hes done, hole saw misc things. Ill hit him up on facebook so he can chime in.

I think the best bet is to weight it how it sits, and go from there.

Your list is pretty much on par adam. The change from the slp dual dual that came on my car to the 3.5" exhaust I made cut 26lb. Bracket under the dash was 7lb, modding the belt drive set up saved about 5lb, about 3lb gone from rear seat brackets, 1.5 lb gone with better speakers, lightened the pedal assembly by about 4lb, hood hinges are 3.5lb lighter, coil pack brackets lightened saved 1 lb, brake brackets have been lightened and lots of misc ****.

right there is another 50lb+

for those of you calling bs...... you have to think out side the box to get there and keep the stuff that's still in my car.

For sure. I bet one could get to 28xx if you really wanted.....maybe less. Studderin is a bit more extreme than me and can offer some good info. I still use my Car as a dd/road trip so there are some things I want to keep.

the lightest I have ever see my car is 2980 on the scales. But it had such little gas in it I didn't think I was gonna make it to the gas station. I have got a few more lbs out recently. I'll reweigh it in drag form in a few days. I have noticed that the quarry scales where I weigh it seem to vary a little.

People need to weigh their cars instead
Of guessing and reading stickies.
Scales may hurt your feelings. Just like the lights at the end of the track. LOL.
