Mine weighs 3610 with me in it, full tank of gas, 9", th400, twin turbo setup, 10pt cage, kirkey seat, turbo k member, drag bar, tubular lower a arms, no a/c but have a heater.

My SS weighed 3500 stock. I got it down to 3100 without me in it after removing a bunch of stuff without cutting or grinding anything.

Off the top of my head I removed the front and rear bumper supports, A/C, front sway bar and brackets, passenger seat, rear seats, rear seat belts, carpet, rear interior trim and speakers, radio, air pump and lines, horns, wiper motor and linkage, sunvisors. Can't think but there may be a few more small odds and ends. I could lose another 100 lbs easy if I keep going.

I'm actually going to put the passenger seat back in (swap both seats to something else), and install some ozite carpet. I'll probably put the rear interior plastic trim back as that stuff weighs minimal.

$10-$15, if the guy is cool he won't charge you anything...depends on who you get.

Also try metal recycling yards. Theres a local place not far from us that charges $3 to weigh a vehicle (they typically weigh trucks in/out and pay you the weight for metal), their scale is accurate to +/- 20lbs.

load the trunk with some scrap metal (in totes ) and get paid to weigh it instead of paying your empty weight on the return across the scales is what you would be looking for , its part of the process of bringing in scrap...

This may be a stupid question but the front and rear windows on midwest chassis site are they lighter than the stock windows. Or just a replacement.

I have not looked but just guessing by the stuff midwest chassis sells for it's probably lexan and yes weighs less. Who knows I could be wrong and too lazy to look on thier website lol email them they are great about fast email replies and very knowledgable

Go to your local dump/garbage/recycling station they will tell you your weight for free.

And their customer service is +1,000,000 I will alwayw recommend and deal with them. They care.

I bought 4 corner scales before my build. I believe they are a must when building a drag car.

It is much easier to build a light car, Than to lighten a built car.
