Which slicks are best for my set-up?
Hey guys, first off I'll give you the details of my set-up:
1996 WS6 m6 with 355wrhp and 340rwtq. I have all the suspension mods except for adjustable shocks. I have a 9-inch with 4.30 gears, a street twin clutch and about to purchase a Strange cromoly drive shaft. I want to be able to pull, I'm guessing here, 1.6fts? Maybe better is possible?
these are the two different size slicks that I am thinking about buying:
part #3753 26X11.50-15LT ET Street
OR
part #3053C 26.0/10.0-15 ET Drag
I will be adding N2O this winter to run some 11's and would like to use the same tires. Would I be better off ordering the Hoosier Quick time pro 27 11.5's?
Thanks guys, tell me what you think
Andy

I use 27x11.5 Hoosier QTP's and they work great. You won't have any problems hooking.
This would be your best bet if you want to run on HP and nitrous.Ideally you'd want
to use a 26 on motor and a 28 on spray.I think the only 28 inch tires you WOULDN'T
have to trim the body for is a M/T 28x9 slick(27.3 actually)but the Hoosier 27x11.5 hook better.

i know a couple of people who are running a 28 x 10 or 11 and haven't done anything to their body. They did have a little rubbing but it occured ABOVE 120mph. Which ya never know what MIGHT happen, not ALL vehicles are the same. But you could opt for the 27in hoosier and be street legal.

Thanks guys,
I think I'm going to order the 28 11.5's and see how it goes...if I have to do some SMALL trimming I don't mind. Chances are I won't be going 120mph this year. However, next year is a different story
