George,
I would go with the hood and KMember etc first and keep the 28's. You will want to change your gearing as well if you step up to the 2 inch taller tire if you want to maintain the same overall ratio. You will eventually do the hood and K-Member stuff anyways right? <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> If that doesnt help you hook then you could always go 30 inches later <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
