Nitto 555R II's? Anyone have any info on the new tires from nitto? They are on www.discounttiredirect.com for $155. I would think these would be better then the "first Gen" nitto. |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? No one here is likely to know what those are. They are not slicks, cams or firesuits. They are AutoX tires. Sidewalls will probably be stiffer. Don't get them unless you like wheelhop. I'll evaluate them soon, and give both AutoX and Drag results, although it is expected that drag performance will degrade. |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? These are so new, even Nitto is not sure what to say about them. They are hoping they'll give better traction with longer mileage. You know... the Holy Grail! |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? 245/35 by 19?? That's an odd size probably more for autocross with those tine sidewalls... |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? You have to look under all tires for nitto. the II's are not listed under competion. |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? IT looks like it's also a ZR rating vs. the VR rating the regular NT555R's get... |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? Yes they are Autocross tires. Nitto has said so themselves. Don't get 'em if you are looking for drag racing tires. Sidewalls are just too stiff and won't give ANY flex at all. Stick with the Nitto 555R's. |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? Excellent. Thanks for the info, I emailed Nitto and they said ask one of our vendors?? |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? I may be wrong but it looks to me like they are intended for front tires to match drag radials. Just a wild guess though!!!!????? |
Re: Nitto 555R II's? I'm sure they'd be okay to use for fronts. But they are an autocross tire. (I work for a tire company) |
