Default 9's in an LS1 M6?

Is there alot of people doing it?
This is my goal for next year. it would have been this year but after buying a rear($2240) and the wifes engagement ring ($3500) i gotta wait to get a set of heads.
Right now i'm doing 10.6's at 129 with a cam only, 150 shot, HEAVY *** SS.
I say heavy *** cause i'm fat and i have a stock 6.0 iron block.I think my race weight it around #3575 with lots of stuff taken out.

well there are 3 ls1's as far as i know tat have touched nines. RomanSS went 9.94 with a raceweight of about 3800+ pounds 2 years ago. so it is doable.

LPE C5 Z06 went 9.45 at 152 mph on a 6-speed 427TT at a shitty track!

with the CO2 assisted cooler and some other stuff, it will be in the 8's this year (should be in the 8's) with the 6-speed...made 800 rwhp on 103 octane with room to grow!

I know this isn't exactly what your looking for, the 6-speed F-body's that run in the 9's are few and far between....

i'm going to try for it by the end of this year...

3200lb raceweight
ARE 382 all bore
ARE S3 heads
NICE cam
Kook 1 7/8 LT's, True Duals
Spec Stg 3i clutch(hopefully it holds)
Moser 9" w/ 3.90's or 4.10's (still trying to figure that one out, 137 vs 145mph on a 7000rpm limit)
28" slick
and all the little bolt ons for suspension and other stuff.

Hopefully i could get there without having to spray the world at it. Hoping a progressive 200-250 shot could get me there. Not worried about driving it there(as of this second, haha). We will see though. In theory it should do it, but there is alot of reality inbetween should and did. Good luck for you, luckily i'm getting the car parts in BEFORE the engagement ring

Chris

PS- since we are on the topic, anyone think it's possible with what I just stated for my setup?

I'm going to try to do it with my stock shortblock some nice heads and about 200 shot. And i'm doing this in my DAILY DRIVER!

Hopefully by then i'll haved the race weight down to 3350 or so. i'm running out of stuff to take out and still be comfterable to drive everyday.

we are looking to make 9's with our "smaller" project car. we just ran a 7.39 in the 1/8 first time out with a marginal 60' of 1.7 and kind of high humidity(71%). Car has a stage 2 5.3L heads and largish cam. once we get the small things lined out we feel the car will make 10's NA (stock bottom end) and we hope for 9's on the juice. car is an M6

MTI has had at least 3 C5 (M6) run 9's.

If I am running 10.7's on motor at a 3250 race weight. How much juice would I need to crack into the 9's ???

I have just about the same race weight as you and with my old motor I was running 10.70's as well, I was told I would only need a 125-150 shot to run 9.9x's

I do have an auto though.. but I would think you'd be in the same boat.

I plan on doing it this year also, hopefully soon. right now I think I'm good for 10.5's NA when I get my tq arm replaced.
