I've read many posts here and it seems most people are not running tubes with ET Streets or ET Drags. I've got 26X10.5X15 ET Streets with tubes. At 14, 12, 10 and even 8.5psi I am still spinning out of the hole. Launch rpm has been consistant at 5500. If I try to launch any lower than 5000rpm I will bog.

My 60' times were dissapointing to say the least tonight with a 1.792(8.5psi), 1.806(10psi), 1.767(12psi), and 1.942(14psi). Front sway bar has been removed, shocks are set to 70/30, and pinion angle is right at -2. Tires are getting plenty hot thangs to the line lock. 10psi and 8.5 psi destroyed my trap speeds and on 8.5psi I fought with the steering wheel for the better part of the run. <---Kind of like that

California Speedway is not the best prepped track and I have been able to pull a 1.67 at Irwindale but that run was on a fresh prepped track. Are the tubes really hurting my 60' times or should I go to a true drag tire? Thanks very much in advance.

i dont run tubes eather but personaly i dont think thats what is hurting you. a 1.79 is pretty good for a M6 at 12.50s but there might be some more you can get out of it. i would try going with a 28 inch tire without tubes and see what happens. that might be it considering you got lots of suspention mods already.

sounds like your track sucks. i went mid 1.7 with 245 nittos with basically your setup and it went.12.2. try another track if you can

get new tires. with 4.11's(M6) m&h racemasters muscle car drags 305/40/16 on lt1 rims i pulled a best of 1.59 60 foot 13psi sway bars still on,stock shocks and my front tires came off the ground(stock f1 tires on front). the tires were 5-years worn out old and they hook w/no tubes. i now have a set of the 26x11.5x16 cheeter slicks. take a look at www.intercotire.com goodluck to ya .
