Shooting for 12's

My last pass was 13.3 sec. 1/4 mile at 110mph. That was with 28whp less then what I currently have, and on street tires. The track has roughly a DA of 2000ft. I'll be running with drag radials this next time (mickey thompson). The car is h/c and has a little over 400whp.

What rpm should I launch at? I'm on the 10 bolt. I have my shift light set at 6200rpm

Wait...this is a head cam LS1? If so what HCI are you running?

I'd try to launch at 2500-3000 and do a quick slip of the clutch then mash it. That's worked best for me. You should easily see low 12s with a better tire

I dunno about low 12's at this track. I've seen full bolt on 2012 mustang 5.0 on slicks running 12.8 passes there. I think the track prep and elevation kill times.

Oh, and its got patriot stage 2 heads and hotcam, full bolt on, dyno tuned.

Spend some money on suspension and start shooting for 11's! 12's should be no problem at any track with your setup with good drag radials. Start saving for a better rear also
