$100 sounds great! Too bad I won't have anything to use it on for awhile... I still want one, though.

You're right, Harlan. That does look very familiar. I had a feeling that is what it was going to look like.

Ah, that makes sense Chris. Thanks.

Is it harmful at all to ride the rev-limiter, even if it is set at a lower rpm? I know it sure sounds like crap.

So basically, if I wanted to dump the clutch at 5500 rpm every single time, I'd set this box for 5500 rpm and turn it on before I launch. Then, after I launch, I'd have to flip a switch to turn it off so that I could shift at 6600 rpm like normal?

Hmmm.....

Can someone explain why this won't build boost on a blown car?

Everyone keeps saying M6 turbo...

ls1joe, you got mail

Now for the nitrous guys, it'd be safe to assume that you would wire up the stutter arm switch to a relay that would disarm the nitrous while on the limiter. let go of the stutter button, and the nitrous comes on w/ you being at WOT.

For the transbrake guys, you should be able to engage it while on the brake at some RPM lower than the stall speed of your conveter. That way you get consitant launch RPM's, and can get the smae flash out of the converter every time. This is what the Colonel told me

A4 guys can do the same kind of thing, maybe arm it off the foot brake or a seperate switch. foot brake it or maybe E-brake it w/ the stutter at an RPM below your stall. Similar results as the transbrake crowd.

Correct on this setup only having a single RPM point. It may be in the works for a second limiter w/ a seperate trigger.

So you'd have low RPM, then launch RPM, then a default to the PCM controlled limiter.

burnout would be just fine. I can hit it in gear and rolling w/ an M6 and all is fine. Engage the line lock and you can control wheel speed during the burnout if you need to.

more to come this week on time tables, and tester results. I gotta get connectors to get the beta units out.

Nice work! I don't think this mod is for me but I need to know how a stutter box builds boost. Is the added boost generated by burning the raw fuel in the exhaust manifolds? Or is it that more combustion (work) occurs on a stuttered engine than an engine firing all cylinders?

Harlan,
Is this for a LS1 only or will it also work
on a LT1 car with a 6 speed?

thanks

LS1 only. I am not sure if it can be modded to work with an LT1.

Yep, this one is setup for LS1/LS6 only.

Getting one setup for an LT1 should be easier only 1 coil to deal with
