Default Lost MPH.. why?

I have a exhaust only tuned 99 m6. I was running about 8.3-8.5 at 85mph in the 1/8th. I added nitrous over the winter.. That is all. Sprayed less than a bottle through it since I got it. Runs good on the bottle. Without spray though I am now running 8.6-8.8 80-81mph in the 1/8th.. why? It stays pretty consistent whether on 28 or 26 inch tires. I did get a code for the passenger side o2 a few weeks ago but replaced it. I do not feel a miss in the car, no codes. Can tell its a little sluggish though, which should be obvious by losing 5mph in the 1/8th mile.

Which size tire were you using when you ran 85mph? What was the density altitude?

Clutch isnt slipping. 26s 1BAD98LS1, but I used them again, could not get higher than 81.2mph. I will check the plugs. My best guess would either be a bad o2 (the one i replaced went bad because of racing gas I used). Or the plugs.. hopefully something simple, it was a very disappointing trip.

Race gas, as in cam2, is a killer to o2 sensors, that may be your problem. The weather, if the humidity was much different, could have played a small role in the mph change as well.

I was wondering about the race gas and o2's myself, could be the issue.

I may buy another o2 anyways for piece of mind. But yea only one threw a code but it killed it fast. The other hasn't thrown a code but I don't see how it could be working perfectly.

Not running nitrous timing n/a and currently not on nitrous plugs

Here's what my torque app said, I'm unsure how to read a o2 graph though both line charts went up and down if that matters lol.

Maybe you hurt the motor with the nitrous, any signs of a bad head gasket? You lost almost 50hp if not DA related. Have you done a compression test?

Man something is up regardless. Because I am not going to lie 85mph trap speed on a nitrous hit is not doing that well. My good buddy has a longtubes and exhaust only car, and he goes 8.6@86mph all the time. 275/40/17 and it's a 6 speed.

You should definitely be in the 90's for trap speed on nitrous.

It trapped 85 no nitrous pretty much identical numbers to what your friend traps 93camaro.. only time it really went well so far it ran 90mph on nitrous and that was with like a 2.2 60 foot took off easy. It is trapping 82ish now without nitrous.. 3mph loss. No signs of a bad head gasket, no leaks, no noises, no smells, no smoke. Only thing that might be different but could just be me the exhaust seems to sound a tiny bit different when I am on the gas, not at idle.. like a little more fluttery maybe.

I really think its my clutch but I don't smell anything and I dead hook enough to where I bog off the line on 28 inch et streets.. But its a no name clutch the previous owner put in and has been put through abuse.

If you didnt hurt the motor its likely a combo of a Change in DA and possibly clutch. O2 shouldnt factor when your in WOT, they are for part throttle driveability.
