Spring rates depend on what the car has for weight mods and the intended use of the car. As far as settings, each shock has different ranges of valving, and not one setting works of everyone. What some person feels is the right setup for street use another person may says rides terrible. It's more of a trial and error thing really once you get the parts installed.
One thing for sure is Midwest Chassis has a great variety of shocks to choose from, and the best prices you will find. Along with that you get top notch tech advice during and after the sale! Give us a call and we can recommend the right shocks and springs for you, and work within your budget.

Not to dig up older thread, but what would you guys reccomend as a "base" setting for a full weight m6 car on a 295 radial I had great luck with just the front vikings and stock rears but I put the rears on with 110lb springs and can't get it to hook at all? Front and rear comp/rebound. Thanks in advance, I love the shocks just want to dial them in. BTW fronts are 300, rear are 110's.
