Default Leaving off the foot brake or let it flash?

Stalled full bolt on cars (N/A) are you getting better 60Ft times letting it flash or stalling it up? Didnt get to make but a couple passes my last time out and didnt get to test just flat footing it out of the hole. Just curious what everyone else does.

My wife leaves about 1700/1800 on her stalled bolt on 99 and has been 1.54 and 11.85. I leave about 2100 stalled cam only 02 and have been 1.50 and 11.50.The 11.50 will drop as I have been 11.58 at 2900 da the last two weeks. We set launch rpm to control reaction times more than anything but I don't think there is much more there to be had.

Road runner. Will foot brake about 3200 before pushing thru the brakes. Best was like a 1.72 dead hooking.

Yank 4000 SS both cars. Converter has been super as both cars have several hundred passes on them.

off idle or braking it all depends how it will hook if its not spinning try flashing it from idle , if it spins pull front sway bar and add some weight to the trunk well ( jack , toolbox etc...) then try flashing form idle

Flashing it I have been told allows the motor to get a running start before it reaches the stall speed. Downside of flashing is that car must have a good throttle response.

Shorter runners or a large plenum will reduce responsiveness but it's a trade off for more top end power.

I have always found stalling it as high as it would go would yield the best 60's. 1.8 in my T/A, 1.5 in my vette.

Ive heard people swear this. The truth is, every car/combo is different. Amazing how we can have complete opposite experiences.

I have a Yank SS 3600. It likes to be stalled up as high as the tires will take it. But it does do well leaving from an idle.

1.7 60ft from idle

1.6 60ft from 2700rpm

This is on street tires so going any higher foot braking just makes me lose traction.

That has to be the best 60' on street tires that I have ever heard of.
