10's Galore Cam only

Well, I went racing this past weekend at HRP. I went 4 rounds in our points race. I am in a solid 3rd place in the track points. 1 round out of 2nd and 6 rounds out of 1st. :cool:

Now for the back up runs for my 10.983 @ 121.40 mph.

In TT's I ran 11.081(temp 90 & DA 3302), 11.031(temp 91 & DA 3687) and a 11.046(temp 91 & DA 3536).

1st round, I dialed a 10.98. I ran a 10.979 @ 123.29 mph. The other guy broke out by 4. I ran this one all out.

2nd round, I dialed a 10.98 again and ran a 10.980 @ 118.38 mph. I was on the brakes pretty hard and scrubbed off 5 mph off.

3rd round, I dialed a 10.96 and ran a 10.989 @ 115.93 mph. I was on the brakes even harder this time and knocked off 8 mph this time.

4th round, I dialed a 10.95 and ran a 10.964 @ 118.20 mph. I dumped it again. I was racin a motorcycle. He was dialed in at 10.05 and I could not see him at all. He got me on the tree just a little bit. My .033 to his .017. I just could not find him when I got to the mph marker and dumped the car. He came flying by me at the strip. He ran a 10.08 on a 10.05 and I ran a 1 over. This was a tight ass race. Oh well thats Drag Racin. :devil:

My run completer said she was going to run a 10.898 @ 124.1 mph on the last run.:thumb:

The weather for the last pass was;
Temp 83
Humidity 89
Barometric pressure 29.66
Corrected Altitude 1.0679
DA 2934

Not too bad for just a little T-Rex cam only 3200 lbs Hot Rod in the hot Texas heat. :buttkick:

Nice. That "little" cam has really proven to be a winner for ya.

How are you doing in the standings?

One side question. Are you headed for the N/S shootout?

Congrats again.

:thumb: Congrats Coach, I was wondering how she was running. :) Glad to see some consistent 10's now. :) You guys ever get the 60 foots sorted out?

Tom the roofer Jun 9, 2004 07:39 AM

Congrats on the solid 10's Coach but a bigger CONGRATS on the 3rd place in points. Man thats awesome. Keep cutting those lights and get to 1st place. Good luck Coach, :drive: :cheers:

Coach 02 A3 Z/28 Jun 9, 2004 08:09 AM

Thanks everyone. :angel:

The #'s for the last run;
60 ft 1.459
330 4.444
1/8 6.942
mph 98.20
1000 9.110
1/4 10.964
mph 118.20

I will not be at the N vs S race. I am in a points chase at to different tracks(in 3rd place at both tracks) I have a race at each track that weekend. ;)

I dial my car to run dead on. I put on the window what my weather station tells me I am going to run. I like to be able to run full out on each run. Some times she just picks up and I have to be careful not to breakout.

I did lose a bracket race on Sunday in the 2nd round because I brokeout. I ran a 7.06 on a 7.10 dial in. He dialed a 6.85 and ran a 6.88(another motorcycle). I just messed up on this one. The other guy cut a .860 light and I cut a .534 light. I just lost the finish line and didn't dump it in time. I SUCKED in this race. :bang:

Nice Coach!

Sounds like your getting close to getting that new cam setup dialed dead on. Its great when you have a car that you know will run the # you put in the window, so all you have to do is focus on the lights. Sucks when racing bikes and dragsters too.. Bikes are tough see especially when your running 6's-7's at around 100mph and forget dragsters, they are like no where to be seen until the last 10 feet then they rocket past you.

Keep chasing the points bro! :drive:

bad2000ss Jun 9, 2004 11:53 AM

Nice runs Coach, looks like that car is really consistant. :cheers:

If you don't mind me asking, what do you have out of the car for the 3200lbs race weight?

Coach 02 A3 Z/28 Jun 9, 2004 12:41 PM

I have taken everything out of the car that I don't need to drag race it.

I have installed the following light weight parts;
K-member
A-arms
Weld pro stars(front & back)
Light weight carpet
removed the a/c & heater box and air bags
I have removed all factory seats and added 1 JAZ race seat
added a Momo racing steering wheel
I run thunder racing headers with just flowmaster race mufflers

I could however cap the exhust, put the wipers back on, and put on street tires to be street legal again. :devil:
