Anyone tried the new ET street bias plys?
Times for tires and looking for something that works better at the track than the MT 295/55 radials I'm running now. The do decent with a quick slip off the line but can't handle a "dump" at all.
The new ET street R bias ply in a 28x11.50 is looking good. Just worried about the claimed tread width of only 8.7"?
So anyone with experience on these?

I personally would look into a Hoosier. I know your car is 6 speed. After all I've seen a 17 inch Hoosier QTP pull the front tires on a n/a car showing that the tire is really hooking the pavement.

Your car does looks killer tho with them! Can I ask what's the best 60ft you've had with them? And they hook good on the street, like a radial?

I have ran 325/50/15's up until recently when I went to a 295/50. I like the way the 295 tucks. Don't scrub the tires at all compared to when I had the 325's. So I kind of want to stay away from something that large...

The height should depend on your overall gearing and what rpm through the traps, ideally well above peak hp. Don't rule out 26" either.

26 inch tire with a 200 shot on a stock motor is probably iffy if the gearing and converter is right, stick car and anything to do with nitrous and a 26 inch tire is going to be a fail in comparison to what a 28 could do for you.
With a 445 CI motor forget it don't even waste your time. 28 inch bias slick of any type will be the way to go, issue you will have is clutch. Anything other than a slipper/softloc style won't run as good as you could. And those are expensive and have an extremely shot lifespan/need adjustment on a regular basis.

1/8th mile. 3.90 gears, UMI anti roll bar, BMR LCA in the lowest hole, QA1 rear singles, QA1 front singles, and trying to get a MWC torque arm installed right now. Nitrous is on a WOT switch on the TB. No fancy progressive controllers or anything right now.
I'm not going to run 26's lol.

Here's a 427 spraying a large dose of NO2 out of the hole on a tire that is less than 26" in height. (1.29 60')
OP- Since you will not run a 26" tall tire and will drive on the street, you may be well served with a 28x11.50-15LT QTP as another suggested.
