Who all has seen a SOLID gain from removing the sway bar?
I am not talking about some wonder launch where you ran 3 tenths better, and then ran the same the rest of the night. I want some solid and consistant proof that this actually does something for 60's. Never tried it myself, but I have talked to a couple of guys who saw zero gain removing the bar.

Were those guys running slicks or at least drag radials on a good track? Even removing the swaybar can't help much to get the weight transfering if you don't have some descent traction present.
Just unbolt it and try it yourself. If you are running slicks the difference in weight transfer should be easily appearent. The hood comes up faster and higher.

My current quickest 60' in my SS is a 1.66, and that was with my swaybar attached. I went back two weeks later with it disconnected, and my best 60' of the day was a 1.68. Both runs were made on 26" Hoosier slicks. Now that I have the adjustable Hals up front, I'm going to reconnect the front sway bar. The car didn't corner the best before, and now it just sucks.

When it gets right down to it, the condition of the track is going to make you or break you....especially ANYTIME there are radial cars on the track. Varying track conditions make traction testing extremely tough.

I'm in a pickle....
I'm still deciding on weather to take it off or not...its 15lbs...which is an ok amount of weight off the car, but I love the way my car handles now...I will be on a ET street all the time at the track...with bilstein shocks all around and eibach springs all around...
DECESIONS...DECESIONS....

Bigbos, just disconnect one endlink at the track. It only takes a couple of minutes. Then reconnect it for street driving. Two wrenches is all it takes. You don't even have to completely take it loose.

I seem to have gained a solid 1/10 from it. It lets my car lift a little now. My car would kinda bog then take off..It seems to have helped the bog. Good luck

But in all seriousness, i tested it during a test and tune at SDR with my current setup. Gain was NADA, track prep and such is *so* inconsistant I can barely test and tune ANYTHING

I gained from it as well. About a tenth consistently. AND I hooked better in less than ideal conditions too.

Remove it, added Hal's all the way around, front springs and went from a high 1.7's to high 1.6's.

Re: Who all has seen a SOLID gain from removing the sway bar?
when i disconnected my rear sway bar i got consistently better 60' times.
and if you're worried about drivability, i hav both my front and rear bars disconnected and been driving it for about 2 months with no problems, none of the monster sway associated with removing the sway bar on other cars, just a slight difference.
