I went to florida for a week. My buddy let me borrow his new zl1 for the week. It was pretty nice to cruise and hang out away from the cold. I returned home to snow so that is depressing.
Ive started collecting parts for the new setup. Twin 46 gates. 1 7/8" headers this year. Redoing the entire turbo kit since I have a badass new turbo. Going to do some thinking and seeing what I can afford to buy during black friday. See if I cant save some money. Probably going to order a midwest chassis axle and tq arm setup. I have a guy interested in mine.
How was that zl1? Auto or manual? My buddy has one and the thing RIPS!! It's a manual car with 680hp to the wheels.. makes me miss having a rowdy street car.

It is an auto. I really like it. I think it is a very well designed car top to bottom. I really like the new z06 vettes and have done work on quite a few. They feel a little quicker but i hate to say it id rather have the zl1.
but the z06 is a very fast car from the factory. Longtubes, pulley, intake and tune really wind them up too.
I put it in its winter spot. Tore the turbo kit out. Sold all of the hot and cold side stuff. Intercooler, turbo, intake. So going to switch more than I planned up.
I picked up a set of the IGN1A coils to try out. The truck coils are prone to autofiring and such. So id rather be safe than sorry. Id hate to torch a head or something.

Yes Ive seen them. They are sweet for sure! Wont make the car faster though lol
Race parts solutions and some other random parts. I bought a monkey fab collector so that I had to slow down and spend time welding instead of rushing like I usually do.
I chopped the front off to start over with it. Since I welded and cut stuff off from it so many times. Itll look nicer all fresh. Tried making some more room for the turbo but that is a big, heavy, hard to fit bitch.
Also it pains me to buy things that wont make it faster but the headlights look so much better lol
I picked up a used mechanical pump. Hopefully I can make it work without having to go cable. Im going to go with a very large feed. My fuel cell sits high so Im hoping with gravity itll keep it supplied on launches.
