Default First time at HRP, '02 Z lid only

Well, got to the track in Houston Friday evening. First time to race at a sea level track, I usually race in New Mexico at 3600ft elevation. Lots of badass cars, and I got to make a total of 5 passes....

1.97....8.52@84.27....13.23@104.23

1.99....8.56@84.40....13.27@104.31

1.98....8.53@84.43....13.25@104.19

2.03....8.63@84.25....13.35@104.08 <---kinda hiccuped on the launch

1.97....8.49@84.80....13.19@104.53

Again it's an auto with only a lid, 3.23 gears and 3200mi on the odometer. I'm thinking though, is my MPH low?? It kinda seems like it, I don't know. I was thinking just now, and I remember that I distinctly heard a slight pinging on the first run. I'm thinking that maybe it was knocking on all the runs I just couldn't hear it. Runs were made full weight with a half tank of gas. I ran till they told me that I needed a helmet, hehe.

Hmm, don't know how I can bring 'em down any more, being as it's on stock GS-Cs with the lid only. hehe A Pro Yank 3600 Extreme converter is going in soon....I was told by a very reliable source that it'd be good for the NX kit I plan. Also a custom dual exhaust (X-pipe) is going in too.

When you get that converter put some nittos on it, that will help you get those 60's way down and your instantly a 12 second car, those times above look good for a basically stock Z...

The trap speeds look good for a low mileage A4 car. I know a few 98 A4s who get trap speeds around that range and they are broken in. Once you hit around 10k on your car you'll probably see your trap speeds closer to the 105 to 106 range (in similar weather to what you just ran in that is)

I'd definitely love to see how your car reacts to sticky tires and a higher stall converter. I bet 12.5s would be no problem at all!

Good numbers man! I would be happy with them. I have not had mine to the track yet. Just got her in January, drove it from the dealer to my garage 2.6 miles for a grand total of 26 miles on the odo. and it has not seen the light of day since. Michigan winters/salt/roads SUCK and I will not subject my "Lolita" to such conditions! But when she finally does see the track this Spring I hope she don`t let me down because I have been talking MUCH shiznit!! Good luck with her and let the mods begin.

hehe The mods are coming, don't worry about that. I just put my mad porting skills to good use on a MAF sensor I got off a buddy. Gonna throw that one and save up for the stall and exhaust and we'll see what's up then!!

mf2kta--dude, just practice and drive the hell out of it, you'll get it soon enough and put down some hellacious numbers with that mph. I wish I had that mph!!
