Default my new best times tonight cam only almost 10's

well i joined the thunder crew at npr today to watch them make some shakedown runs with their cars. and since i was there i had to run the car again, but i never thought i would get my best times in much worse weather.
i was the first car to run after thunder left. track was still preped good and damn did it show. i still have stock shocks, swaybar and springs. no airbag.
after seeing jasons traction problems with hals i was worried but for some reason my car likes to hook
da was still in the 2400 range around 6:30 the car went a 11.17 so i was like damn and that was a worse 60 than my previous best so i ran angin and heres what happened: 1.481 60 ft my previous best was a 1.51. it ran 11.118@122.16 from my previous 11.22@121 car is still 3450+lbs. i just couldnt find another tenth in it. but i think i might have hurt the posi trying.
i cant wait for a decent cool front to come through, or find another 100lbs that dont cost a arm and a leg to take out.

You guys are going down soon as I get a chance to run at the track in the next week or two J/kin.

Awesome times, and downright crazy 60'.

Peace,
Josh

Very impressive rodney. Those T Rex cams are going to make 10s look easy this fall. I myself am only running 11.40-11.50s in 2800 DA but im nowhere near the 60fts. you are because of our **** poor track prep at RRR.

BS...no torque = no good 60' = no good times. Plus you dip down way to low on your shift extensions. Please put in a smaller cam and go run faster.

it definaly hooks harder and comes out the hole faster with almost no bog with a 4.56/28" combo.
we took some videos that ill try to post up in the next few days, my usuall cpu is at the shop so its a big ordeal now.

Nice times Rodney! You definitely will run 10s in some cooler air.

I wish I could have stuck around in the evening to run and play with the suspension more. With the cooler air, I think the car wouldn't have bogged as bad.

hey i have a good excuse. when i put the 9" in i was converting the car to TH400, so that's why i did a 4.10. ditched the 28's when i went back to M6 and figured 4.10 with 26" would be a good combo. I'm getting good sixties, but spinning really bad and its hurting me, need to dead hook the car.

Thumbs up

A 28x10.5x15 slicks will help with your spinning problem.

IMO-I found that with the M6 you need to run 4.56 gears and the 28's to get the max at the drag strip.

Congrats! It should go 10's in the good air.
BTW- 11.11 is NOT almost 10's. 11.001 is almost 10's.

Right coach?
