Default Jim Filipowski's 4th gen runs 8.31 @ 175 on drag radials

Cut n pasted from another board:

just thought some of you guys would like to hear about jim's new ride. his first outing with a brand new chassis and engine combo he went 8.31 @ 175mph on his radial tires . he reset the mph record for nsca radial class. he had just fired the car up on thursday and was still finishing a few things at the track on friday. the new camaro still has a 360" sbc but has a 98mm turbo on it. things should get interesting when jim gets comfortable with the car and really starts leaning on it.

And its carbureted with that big turbo on it. The class he runs, will only allow a turbo in conjunction with a carb.

XXX from this board has madman suspension (stock style), drag radials and has been 5.33 in the 1/8. Roughly, thats 8.30's in the 1/4.
