They said they had some defective ones years back and everything should be great now. order it, install it last weekend. holy **** its blurry looking at an angle. Mine has 8 little dimples of small waves the size of a quarter randomly in it only seen from the inside. Looking at an angle out of it everything looks like i'm wearing the wrong prescription glasses. you will definitely get a headache on a long drive. I'm fairly upset. they did say they will exchange it no charge but I paid $225 to get it installed and its $225 to swap a new one in again. That's $450 in labor charges this will get expensive. Not sure what I'm gonna do.

Was planning on ordering an optic armor to replace my cracked windshield until I started reading posts like this! I guess I'll stick with heavy glass.

I heard proglass is better but haven't seen anyone personally using it to verify.

It's lexan for race cars. Of course it isn't as clear as glass. The people that actually want lexan will live with it for the cause.

Update: Drove it to work today. Its doable. but barely. one of the wavy dimples is directly in my line of vision so I find myself slouching in the seat to see around it. You have to focus pretty hard to drive on any streets compared to normal driving of a car. I 110% would have never done this if I could have sat in someone's car like this before I purchased it. After today the car will no longer be street driven. I don't feel safe doing it because you cant see well enough to avoid things in the road or anything. I could have a defective one but I doubt it. How did all of us get defective ones. this is how they are.

We got one of ours from Shakedown Racing. Not sure who the manufacturer is. It was before they came out with drop ins. It sucked cutting it and painting the edges. But it is clear as clear can be. We don't have it supported in the middle either. Its not blurry in the least bit, and does not wave at all doing 150+. We used the installation kit from them No glue just screws with a hard rubber seal to put under it. Seemed like it gave it a nice flat even bed for it to sit on. I did use stainless rubber backed washers under the heads of the stainless screws. I clearanced the holes on the lexan so the screws could move freely and pilot holed the sheet metal (don't use self tappers they will walk on you) as i went along to make sure every screw was dead center of the hole in the lexan. You really had to pay close attention putting the screws in evenly tight with the sequence they outline in the directions, otherwise it will be all messed up looking. I wonder if gluing it doesn't let it sit evenly. Then pushing it to set it may be making things worse. Ours is still amazingly crystal clear after 8 years. Drive it on the road quite often. After we clean it with a rain-x cleaner for lexan and plastic, then we spray it with Adams detail spray. After reading all this it seem either the glue is the problem, we got lucky as hell, or they have a very good product and it was worth the hassle putting it in. Ours is 1/4" front and 3/16" rear. At the time they only offered the back and side windows in 3/16. The windshield came in 1/4 or 3/16. Ours both are MAR Guard coated.

If anyone is interested. When we cut the windows to size we used a roto zip. Worked excellent. We left the line heavy and used a belt sander to bring it to the exact mark. It took out any waviness and sharp edges from cutting it to size. Masking tape the **** out of it before you even mark it.

The optic armor ones we did install and have installed still look great too, but they do wave around a little. Maybe because they were 3/16 and not 1/4. They still look crystal clear though.
