Default Time slips-Everything look good?

I have tried leaving from idle and from 3300 and everything in between. I played with timing, fuel, tire pressure. Nothing seems to get it lower. Looking for feedback.

72 chevelle-4000lbs with me.
lq9 engine
78mm truck intake
ported 243 heads
228/232 .598”/.598” 112 LSA +2 advance
1 3/4" headers

4l80e trans
3300 stall

4.10 gears
28" M/T s/s tires

Does this look like everything is running like it should? I do everything on HP tuners.
Thanks, Mark

Others will have more help to offer I'm sure and hopeful for, but I'd think the converter may be a little on the low side, and with having the ported heads and cam, but smaller inlet and outlets of intake and exhaust it may not be breathing well as it needs to.

What are your air/fuel ratios? What is timing set at?

I agree with the intake being small. I wanted to see what I could squeeze out of the truck intake before upgrading.
I'm also thinking the converter is too tight. I have a free restall for the first year. It will be cool to see how it reacts after its loosened up!

Timing is in the mid-low 20s. I played with it until I got the most mph trap.
A/f is at 13.0. I brought it down to 12.2 and everything in between. Ran fastest at about 23* timing and 13 Afr.

4k stall will help the 60 ft by quite a bit.

I am going to have it re-stalled. Shooting for around 4000-4200.
That should wake it up. Also, I have a NNBS initake and t/b ready to go....Might help?

I have also built a cold air intake. The intake air temps were around 130* with the old set-up. I bet they will run MUCH cooler now. I'm finishing a few things up on the nnbs/cold air intake, then i'll tune it and give it another shot at the track before I loosen the converter. I like seeing what improves performance as I go.

Are you spinning out of the hole?

Converter should help. Also those 28's might be a little overkill if you plan to stay N/A.

Its not spinning at all. Probably a combination of the 28" tire and a tight stall.
Next time I buy drag radials, ill try some 26".

At 130 degrees you are definitely down some timing. Stock tune starts pulling it a little early.

Don't do that, 28 is fine. The only thing it's gonna do is help traction with a bigger converter.

Got ya. I was looking at my runs on hptuners and can see where the rpms kind of run flat from launch (3600) until about 4400, then everything starts moving along.
I'm going to loosen up the converter up passed 4000.
