Project "The ****" losing weight !!UPDATED PICS INSIDE!!
This car is a 2000 Z28 A4 car. I have now owned the car for 2.5 years. It started out as just a daily driver that I can take up into the hills and carve corners. During the first year of owning the car, I went for myt first ever drag race and after that I was hooked ad everything changed. The car is now a strip/street car. yes that's right, strip/street not street/strip car so cutting it up and modifying is no scare to me. Recently an MWC 8 point cage has been installed but I'm going to be adding bay bars and a dash bar to the car. Ill upload a some photos here but need to refresh my photobucket acct to get photos uploaded.
questions:
1. Ive searched and searched but all photos are down that show where guys have cut there cowl completely out. Can anybody help me out and post pictures of that? I need just photos of flushed firewalls as I will be running lexan.
2. I want to run factory dash for a stockish look, have you guys cut the actual dash bulkhead out that the dash attaches to or? photos please

What kind of engine/tranny combo are you looking to go with? Trust me, I usually wouldn't say something like this being a turbo guy, but a super lightweight build like this just begs for a LS3 based big CID motor with a solid roller in it. Would probably hurt a lot of feelings.

I'm a nitrous guy for sure. The combo I'm going with is a 6.0 iron block punched out to a 370. Gonna keep the factory crank and go with forged rods and pistons. Will be slapping my PRC CNC stage 2.5 ported 241 heads and going with a Holley Hi-Ram 105/105 intake/TB setup. Unsure of if I want to run a plate or spray bar setup. Transmission will be a th400 with a brake. Already have a ford 9 out back with 4.11/full spool on 28.0-10.0 hoosier slicks

Nice build...very close to where I'm looking to be ultimately. I'm in the process of throwing in a MWC 8 point roll bar as we speak. Currently a iron stock 6.0 with texas speed cam stage 2 243's and fast 92/92 with nitrous outlet plate wet kit and a built 4l60e and dana 60 rear with spool.... drag radials on it now, slicks to come next....rear suspension is all done, have tubular front end and manual rack and abs delete kit sitting in garage waiting to go in. After that its play til trans and/or bottom end blow up... Then I was hoping to change over to th400 and 408 forged bottom end. After that... **** idk where else to go lol
Nice build good luck with it and post progress pics!! I made the mistake of taking almost no pics of everything I've done, never made a build thread, and regret it now.

Nice build! I'll be following along.
I cut a lot of my cowl out of my setup but I did not make it flush. I wanted to retain the factory front windshield for now. I may cut it all the way back later but just even partially cutting it back makes it so nice to work on. There's another build on here where I got a lot of my info for the cowl. It's Project Tin Can Shooting for 9's iirc. Taubr Units build.
Good luck
Aaron
