To be honest for what it would cost for the very best HCI I don't think it would be worth it. Then you'll spend a few bucks on tweaking things on the intake side. Plus im not sure how much more weight you could pull out. But even with all this said and done I really don't think you'll knock a half second off at this level. That's just my opinion

The only way to run 9's (all motor) then is to sell your heads and intake. You need to up the compression to at least 11 1/2 to 1, great flowing heads, big cam, 102 intake ported, 102 T.B. Put a solid roller cam in it,and rockers, and lighten the car to at least 3,000 lbs.

This would be a good choice for a solid roller but then you would need a custom cowell hood.

You might want to look into ITB and solid roller cam. Something like 237/245-113+3 on a LLSR and then raise the limiter to 7300. Run 650/630 lift or thereabouts. Edit -- On the exhaust, have you considered going to an X pipe?

Switch back to a 26" tire. I lost about 1/10 when I went from 275/50's to 275/60's
I'm running a 12 bolt with 4:10s
Dump the catback as mentioned above. You'll drop 35-45 pounds and pick up 10 Hp
Look at little things. Are you running titanium retainers on your springs? Have you upgraded to 11/32 pushrods? Get ride of the MAF and SD tune it or at least build a 100mm MAF, you can do that for less then $150.

I'm back at it! Lol I have pulled the car out of storage, put a 100mm maf on it, and removed the cat back. I took the car to the track and got two back to back 10.39s at 130.5, but the car is shifting into overdrive 10yards or so before the finish line. I'm taking the car back to the tuner to raise the shift points (currently 6600 rpms) a cpl hundred rpms and we'll see what that does.
If this doesn't get closer to a low 10.3 I agree the motor will more than likely need to be cammed differently.
Thanks for the help!

Very stout running car for sure. Definitely ought to be proud of current times. A little more weight off would really help trying to get that 9.99 as others have said. You may be at the point where you have to do wallet mods for weight it sounds like if your at 3k raceweight already. How much slip are you seeing on your converter on the top end?
