Default nittos or ET streets for me at the track.....

I have 245/50-16 Nitto drag radials as everyday tires (over 5k miles, showing a lot of wear) AND I also have a nearly brand new (~6 passes plenty of tread) pair of 26x10.5x16 ET Streets mounted on salad shooter type wheels I just purchased.

My first time to the track last month I only got what's in my sig on the nittos. I could not get them to flat out hook though I am pretty sure that if I heated them up well they should. I am returning this friday. Would I be better off with the ET's or the nittos? The ET's have more grip, but the nittos should have enough for my modest power. I like the idea of having a LOT of traction as I have not yet been able to truly hook with the converter. How much will the added height/etc of the ET's hurt me??.....I don't want to switch at the track, which one should I use??

My vote is for the ET streets.

If you are having traction issues with Nittos then go for the ET Streets. Cant hurt, just heat em up good.
