Most folks around here would either run the DOT class if you're running DOT tires and mufflers, or run the Bracket #2 class, which allows slicks, open exhaust, etc, but is a footbrake class (i.e. no tranny brakes, delay boxes, etc.).

It's a lot of fun!

As of last year, they allowed ET Streets in DOT bracket. I assume they allow cutouts too. They will reply promptly if you e-mail them at the address on the SCS web page.

I know some people have already been to the SCS in their area , so I was wondering what classes, brackets and other events they are going to have.Any info would be appreciated. I am going to place an order for some cooler weather also. Hope to see ya'll there!

Like Kristi said, they allow ET Streets for sure, since they are a DOT approved tire.

As far as a cutout, it would probably depend on just how loud the car is. Technically, that should be considered open exhaust, but I don't recall cars with open cutouts being that loud. You could always email them like Kristi suggested and see what they come back with.

James, I'm 99% sure that you have to leave the cut-out closed. If it is open and in the DOT tire/muffler class you would be disqualified if they caught you with it open during competition.
