Default Chase to 10's at full weight/emissions legal started :)

Ordered Moser 4.11 gears today, should have them at the end of the week. Not a bad price at 150.00 a set.

Heading to ARE later this week to get the injector scaling touched up and verify the power lost through the dual cats. (I am guessing ~15RWHP but we'll see

When the gears go in I am also going to do the following:
- Set torque arm pinion angle to negative 5 degrees
- reinstall right rear airbag (10psi)

Also received some helpful tips from a couple of the guys running the M&H musclecar drag street tires.

Several of the guys have cut 1.5 sixties on these tires but have had to run 12psi in them. I have been using 16psi cold so this could explain my mediorce sixty's (1.78 best sixty)

I am going to try 12psi hot and see how they work. Even if I can get in the low 1.6 range I'd be very happy!

Anyways, I'll post an update after this weekend. Hopefully I can get the pinion angle right when I touch up the tune this week.

Also from now I am going to be running with every interior panel in the car. Both front seats, back seat cushions in place. Airbags, heatercore, radio, headliner all in the car.

At the end of everything I want to beat the 10.99 time I drove Warbirds car to last year.

It'll take perfect conditions but I think I can hit it

Sounds like a good plan, except for the -5 pinion angle. When I was having trouble gettin the car to hook I had the pinion angle between -5 and -6 and it was unbearable. I thought I was going to shake the rear end out of the car during the drive to the track. If you plan on driving the car to the track try a little less angle -2 to -3 on the way there, then crank it down to -5 when you get to the track.

heheh

I have had it to -7 before without too much vibration. (There was a bit though)

I'll try -3 first and see how that works

On the 26X10.5 ET Streets, 12psi and -3 pinion seems to be working well for me. If you're driving your car to the strip, those tires are going to retain a lot of heat. Try a small 2-3 second burn off first. Seems like the DOT approved slicks do not require as big a burn off in my experience. Long smokey burn offs turns them into grease at the line.

Good Luck

I would mark the tires to make sure the tire doesnt spin on the wheel at those low pressure levels. That is if the tires are not screwed to the rim already.

I would go no more than -3.

I doubt you will hook a 10.x anything on those MH tires, all those bias ply treaded tires no matter which brand will not get you there.

Goal is tens but anything close to that would be nice

I'll see how 11psi in the tires works this weekend

4.11 Gears, airbag etc will go in next week.

The car has cats now so I am probably looking at ~11.30-11.50's with a 1.8 sixty right now at ~122mph I am guessing

(Hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised)
