126.6 MPH and get into 11s on REAL street tires the first time out with my ARE 436…
Went to the Corvette day at Capitol Dragway today – had a great time.
I drove ~200 miles to the track. Tires - BFG G-Force KD 295/35/18 at ~30psi cold (~32psi during the runs) With out adjusting anything (the only thing I did is pop the hood and check the oil level ) here’s what I ran:

60’----------2.018 (not bad for true street tires at full pressure )
1/8 ET------7.784
1/8 MPH---97.33MPH
and the of course it happens … for some reason (clutch?) it won’t go in 4th gear. I pump the clutch once, try again - it goes in, and I finish the run:
¼ ET-------11.921
¼ MPH----119.49MPH
DAMN IT!!!!
This could’ve been a really awesome pass.
Looks like due to the better launch I picked up ~2MPH by 1/8 mile. If the car would gain same MPH from 1/8 – ¼ as it did on the first pass, I think it could’ve been a mid – high 11s at ~128MPH pass???
Of course after a run in 11s in convertible with no roll bar thye had a few words for me
Anyway, I did get 2 more runs, but they got screwed up as well and are not worth mentioning…
Weather was 85+F, but felt A LOT hotter in direct sun all day long. Does anybody have a link to some weather station that keeps DAs for particular locations???

I wasn’t sure where to launch, so I tried 2K rpm. Car bogged pretty bad and ran:

WOW!!! How cool EuG You've got to feel good even though 4th gear didn't want to cooperate!
Now, when are you going to change out that exhaust so that you can be the 1st "Real Street" car (closed exhaust & real street tires) to run 11's @ 130MPH+

Nice times!
You should have 130mph no problem in the fall
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks guys!
Dual 3” exhaust and X-Pipe should go on next week. Retune will follow and then we’ll see how it goes

Can't complain with runs that nice, eh?
Try a pass or two with the tires at their recommended air pressure. I did that, and ran deep into the 11's, also at 126mph (a hair slower than yours though). My car has an automatic, and that may have helped with this stupid high power. I cut 1.8's and didn't have many wheel spin issues, which I think you did (from the looks). Good job, just the same. It's a happy feeling, I know.
