Good luck in the points championship Coach.

I'll be racing Sunday at Beaver Springs Dragway. It is Beaver Springs Dragway vs Pittsburgh Raceway Park. It's called the Keystone State Challange. I'll be representing PRP.

I'm heading out with my Brother " Bill the roofer" and his 69 Camaro. My car too lol :) Should be fun.

CHRISPY Jul 23, 2004 10:24 PM

I am going to race tomorrow and I might race on Sunday too :)

Weather is going to be good tomorrow but there going to be a 20mph headwind :(

Villain281H Jul 23, 2004 11:30 PM

I'll be out at G-ville tomorrow for our usual bracket racing. I'm also 5th in points currently, and just hoping for a round win or 2. Everything after that is gravy; just out there to have fun and hopefully yank the front wheels! :D

Good luck to all!

I'm gonna do some bracket racing tonite at everyones favorite track, US41. :emb:

This is the first time this year I'm getting a chance to bracket race, because I didn't have a bar yet. I'm VERY rusty, hope I can cut a few good lights. :drive:

Villain281H Jul 25, 2004 06:24 PM

well, it rained out at Gainesville, I made 0 runs  Anyone else do anything??

Derek

XFiveLiter Jul 25, 2004 10:12 PM

I went red, then bought back in, and redlit again. I ran it out anyways and went 11.402 on an 11.40. In time trials I was cutting pretty good lights, .52x's and .53x's. I guess I choked.

Maybe I'll try again next week. :burn:

WE WON  PRP took it to BSD and we kicked there arses. Man we had a good time and the racers at BSD are the best. Dang good sportsmen they are.

I made it to the finals in modified. My starter took a crap when they called us to the lanes. My car wouldn't start. Click. Click, Click. Bummer man. After what seemed like forever, PRP and BSD people were all over my car trying to get it started. A few poundings on the starter and VAAROOOM it started. The Young man I was racing in the finals is the 2000, 2001 and 2003 modified Champion. This young man waited and waited and gave me a chance to compete. :usa: Then he whoooped me in the final. I had a blast though. I'm happy.

I got to buy a starter tomorrow. Is there an after market starter anyone could recommend?

Good Night :D

SilverGhost Jul 25, 2004 10:57 PM

when i thought my starter died i called all over and couldnt' find anything for less than I think 150 bucks for an ls1, they are expensive.

I don't mind paying $150 bucks for quality. Losing because of a starter is worth more than $150 bucks. Is there a real good one out there for like maybe $151 bucks :D j/k

Well I did the opposite. I cut a good light and a decent light in T&T then went up and cut a blistering .865 on a .500 tree    ran it out and ran a 11.52 on a 11.55 dial. I didn't bother buying back in.

X,
Sorry to hear about your crimson hue headaches! I did that 5 straight rounds to start the season, then learned to back-off a little. good luck, I'm sure you'll get it!

Tom,
Congrats on your rounds and getting a competitor that was a true sportsman, waited to make a side-by-side run to beat you instead of the cheap way. hope you go one more round next time!
