Should I shift to fourth or go thru quarter in third with my mods?? I am pretty sure I can go thru the quartermile in third with my limiter set to 6600 for my b1 cam ..my mph seems low..best corrected is only 111mph ,uncorrected has been 107.6 best so far.
I have gone thru in third I think a few time or should I shift to fourth at like 6200 rpm or something..I have 3.42 gears..mods are lid,holley filter,gms maf,ported tb,ls6 intake,asp pulley,b1 cam,tts headers and cats,cutout,maft,autotap,etc.
Would not shifting to fourth lower my et but also lower my mph..??

Re: Should I shift to fourth or go thru quarter in third with my mods?? You can try it, but with 3.42's I think your still pulling rpm and speed thru the traps. I only shifted into 4th after installing 4.10's
MPH seems OK.

Re: Should I shift to fourth or go thru quarter in third with my mods?? allthough i dont have the same mods as you, i allways,ALLWAYS, ran quicker and faster shifting into 4th gear.
