Default Gonna try the new auto/nitrous combo Sunday

Gonna give her a spin Sunday at HRP. Will try the new auto, and then maybe spray 2nd gear and up on last pass.

I'm really, really interested in seeing how this does. My converter is going to be pretty tight all-motor, so I know I will be giving up some 60-foot there. Curious also to see if I can hook with nitrous on only 26" slicks second gear up.

Seriously, prep at HRP is hard to top, it is closer, and it is much less of a hassle to run out there on Sundays. Might be fun to go to San Antonio to watch though.

this may have been asked before but with the 200-4R will you just be leaving it in OD all the way?

I should be able to avoid OD on motor passes - on gas, I am going to need a 28" slick to avoid it.

Let us know how you did. John, you gonna make it out? I had a couple more races after you left last night. That monte carlo kept wanting to race me again, but I told him no. He said he ran me on motor and from what I heard later (he raced and beat a bike), glad I didn't run him again. I raced a white cammed Z28 LS1 with some Italian guy driving. He kept wanting land or the move and I kept insisting heads up. It was only for another $10, so he finally agreed to heads up on a flag. We get out there and line them up, I did a small burnout as did he. He spun like a bandit out of the hole and shut it down like 1/8 when I had about 10 cars on him or so. (He was on ET Streets as wll, but 26"). After he finally caught up to me in the U-turn he wanted to go again double or nothing, so I said OK. We line them up again and he gets a better burnout this time and I didn't even do one). We launch and I still put 1.5 or so on him out of the hole with me spinning. This time he stayed in, but wasn't catching me at all, actually I was very slowly pulling on him. So I made $20 off him and $10 of the carlo. Nice night of racing for my slow car. Good weather too other than the humidity.

Will be close to summer conditions today, so definitely not the best DA air for this time of the year. All the same, itching to try the combo, and have trailor loaded up and ready to go.
