Default Going from 26s to 28s, have a few questions.

Im currently running 26x11.5x15 ET Streets, but they are gone and I wanted to go with some 28s because Im planning to do a 12 bolt soon with a 4.10. Since Ill be using a taller tire, will the traction improve? Also since Im going from 26s to 28s, would I be ok with ET Streets? If I end up going with ET Streets, what size should I go with? If I go ET Drag, what size? Do you want the widest tire you can fit without having to make any modifications? These are for 15x10 Bogarts. Thanks.

My 28x11.5 Hoosier QTP's required a bit of banging to get them not to rub. These are on 15x10 Pro Stars so I don't know how close Bogarts and ET Streets would be, but it will be close.

I assume with a taller tire, traction will be better, so is there any reason to go with ET Drags rather than ET Streets.

By the way, what tire size would work best with a 4.10, PT4000, and a 200-4R? I just assumed a 28 would be the way to go, but never really asked. If I end up going with 28s, what size in ET Streets do I go with? What about in Drags?

Lastly, do you want the widest tire you can fit? For instance, I would get better traction with a 28x12.5 opposed to a 28x10.5.

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to decide on the best tire for my set up. Thanks.

Yes, of course a taller tire will give a little better traction. You have a little less overall gearing and a larger contact patch.

No, going to a 28" tire doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be ok with Streets rather than Drags. Eliminate traction as an issue. Go with the 28" ET Drags or a similar slick.

Well the only reason for me staying with ET Streets is so that I can drive the car on the street from time to time. My current ET Streets are gone, but I still drive them on the street every so often. They have about 20-25 passes and some street miles. I figured if I went with drags, then it would be a lot less. Is a 28" tire too much tire for a 4.10? I need to decide whether to stay with a 26 or go with a 28. Lastly, if I do go with a 28, what width can I go with? Do I want to go with the widest one I can fit? Thanks.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what 28s to go with in Drag and in Street without any major modifications. (preferably no modifications) These will be going on 15x10 Bogarts.

Also, would I have better results with 26s or 28s with 4.10s and a PT4400?
