WTG Lee! Not bad for Hot Rod Sunday with I'm sure a marginal track surface. That first 9 second pass is not far away!

i plugged in your Times and your
MPH correlate very close to predicted MPH
60= 1.3690 46.1759
330= 4.1150 85.0532
660= 6.4150 106.6227
1000= 8.4130 123.1701
1320= 10.1120 132.3898
Tire Friction Coeff= 1.6494

------ Front Tire ------
RollOut Distance Data
Ft ET MPH GForce
-1 -0.1941 0.0000 0.0000
0 0.0000 7.0242 1.6494
-------------------------------

for the 132.52 MPH your Car went
the ideal acceleration rate is =
60= 1.3460 47.1056
330= 4.0489 85.8304
660= 6.3475 106.6805
1000= 8.3419 123.3337
1320= 10.0390 132.5225
Tire Friction Coeff= 1.7062

------ Front Tire ------
RollOut Distance Data
Ft ET MPH GForce
-1 -0.1909 0.0000 0.0000
0 0.0000 7.1443 1.7062
-gives you something to compare your Time Slip to

its possible to go 10.039 ET at 132.52 MPH
with better traction

So with my current trap speeds the best I should be able to run is a 10.03? with perfect traction?

Interesting data.

-------------------------------------------------------

its possible to run maybe high 9.90's at 132.52 , but an ideal
acceleration rate with no peaks or valleys in graph of the acceleration curve
would look like this for a 9.99 ET ;
60= 1.3408 47.3219
330= 4.0305 86.2625
660= 6.3177 107.2200
1000= 8.3019 123.9803
1320= 9.9900 133.2385
Tire Friction Coeff= 1.7195

------ Front Tire ------
RollOut Distance Data
Ft ET MPH GForce
-1 -0.1901 0.0000 0.0000
0 0.0000 7.1720 1.7195

some RaceCars would need to go at least 133.2385 MPH to run in 9's
and some RaceCars could run close to those numbers around 132.5 MPH

of course if the Weather gets better and the Track Traction
you'll run 9's

& then it's maxed out, so then what do you do??

The way I see it, any motor combinaton can only go "so far". If I do or don't hit 9's with my 346 NA I'm still as happy as can be. The car is an absolute blast to race, I look forward to getting behind that 5 point harness no matter how fast the car is running.

When I get the itch to make my car go faster I think I will have another short block built, I don't think I will spray this motor to go any faster. The thought has crossed my mind, since the cost of a simple nitrous kit is pretty cheap. I think to myself, if I'm running 10.1x on motor what would a nice little 150 shot do? But if you know me I like to go crazy with ****, so my next setup is looking like a 408 iron block with a 2 stage 450 shot. Everything in my car can handle it, suspension, fuel system etc. I have a 100 psi Weldon fuel pump with a -8AN feed line to my fuel rail with 42 lb injectors, just for my little 346 motor LOL.

We'll see what next year brings.

Looks like we are going to get alittle better weather this weekend. first cool front moves through Louisiana today and looks like it will make it to south florida. Hopefully you can get some runs in before it goes away. They are predicting a high of 88 with humidity in the 30-40 percent range. Much better than the 97-98 with 80-90 percent humidity we have been having for a while. Good luck to ya man...at least the motor is from Louisiana.

Well we've enjoyed hearing about the quest. Glad these forums are here for us to cuss & discuss. 9's is certain w/ a PA but more ci has more room to grow.

good job.

Station Pressure is another name for Absolute Barometric Pressure

and also

Station Pressure is also another name for UnCorrected Barometric Pressure

..confusing ain't it ??

what you see on the Weather Channel or Cable TV is the "Corrected Sea Level Barometric Pressure"

it would be easy if the Java Calculators on the Internet would be based upon
the input of Corrected Sea Level Barometric Pressure you see on TV/Cable or reported at WeatherUnderGround website History

there is a way to input Corrected Sea Level Barometer and get Density Altitude Feet...but you will have to search the Internet for a Calculator

about the only way you are going to find Station Pressure is to take along a
UnCorrected or Absolute Barometer with you to the DragStrip , then go thru all the calculations to get DA Feet or just purchase one of the Weather Station kits sold in Classifieds in back of National Dragster

or find someone at the Races that will give you Station Pressure or DA Feet data
