where's the pressure?

i'm having fule pressure issues with my new walbro intank pump, the pressure holds at 50 at idle and drops to 35 psi at high rpms .
the car also has a hard time building pressure when i turn the ignition on.
what could be causing this??
i already replaced the fule filter.

Re: where's the pressure?

Check the pickup tube. It's quite common for them to crack or even fall completely off.

Re: where's the pressure?

what do you mean by pick up tube, cause my pump comes as a complete module wich has the pump sitting in a kind of bucket and the filter/mesh/sock thingy just mounts directly on to the inlet of the pump.
are you reffering to the pump that has pickup hose running to the bottom of the tank from the inlet side of the pump??

Re: where's the pressure?

I know my Walbro intank had a tube that failed. It caused similar symptoms as what you describe. I upgraded it to a piece of high pressure line.

Sure there's not a tube in that sock/filter thingy? If you filter is fine and your line is not blocked or crimped, it just about has to be in the tank.

i dont get the second part of your reply?

and the pump came with a high pressure fule line.

could the problem be from that thing that looks like a regulator in the module?
