Default Street traction

Not really sure where to put this...

I'm having serious problems with traction on the street. I have OEM Z06 wheels and tires (295/35/18 SuperCar tires on the rear), and in first and second gear they will just go up in smoke, third gear i spin 'em pretty good. What are some good mods that will help my tracion on the street (and no, i don't want different tires. )?

Well, tires are the most improtant part of the whole traction equation. If you aren't willing to put a different tire on the car, I doubt you'll see a whole lot of improvement on the street regardless of what you do. What do you have against changing tires?

Just being honest...

Alex, You are stuck in the same boat as Tony (9ball) and I. No one makes an 18" drag radial. other than that, we're stuck. What can I say? We can talk about this tomrrow night, just remind me.

Well I THOUGHT someone would suggest getting DRs for the street... then I remembered that there isn't an 18" DR.

I wasn't sure if a torque arm, pinion angle, or LCA relocation brackets would make a difference on the street...

You have no side wall on you tire now thats why you are spinning.

What tire are you running now?
