Whats your rev-limiter set at? With that 4.10 gear and 26" tire, it must be pretty high.

Nice times

It sounds like you have the car dialed in well.

I definitely believe the sixty foot. 6600rpm launch off a 2 step with 4.10 26 inch combo will hit 1.4's no problem on 42xRWHP.

Guys running 4.56 and 28's etc are VERY similar to the final drive of the 4.10 26 inch combo. the difference is the track has to be PERFECT to hook a 26 inch slick at 6600rpm.

Great times,
Cheers,
Chris

ps- with no cage and the K-Member/A-Arms etc your raceweight is probably in the 3350 range.

1madSS, Rev limiter is set at 6600.

Chris, Thanks alot, if I can find a scale close I will try to get a more accurate weight on the car. The car is still a street car with full interior - back seat and pass seat. It still has a/c and abs.

Hmm, I also run a 6600 rpm limiter with 4.11 gears and I am hitting the limiter a couple of car lengths prior to the trap. The highest I have ever trapped is 122.8. I have run on both 26x10.5x15 ET Streets as well as the slightly taller Hoosier 26x9x15 slicks. I'm curious what the difference is as I am stuck at ~123mph ue to gearing and tire combo.

The gear calc must be wrong or you went into 5th.. I put the tire height in and 4th tops at 123mph in 4th gear at 6600rpm. You are powershifting your *** off..

1madss,

I'm also hitting the rev limiter right before the traps. What are you shifting your car at? My shift light is set at 6500, I try to let it glow for a little while. As far as tires im running a 26/10.0/15 M/T et drag which is slightly taller than 26.00. It is taller than the et streets and I dont know how they compare to the Hoosiers.

VINCE,

How tall of a tire did you use in your cal.? Shifting.... I think I do fairly well.

w/4.10s and 26/10 et drag i ran 124 with a 6500 rev lim.with a 6200 limit i ran 121 and 122 .this was with a mustang,but its still 1.1 4th gear.tire growth is prolly close to an inch.and a 26/10et drag is a hair taller than 26in.a 26/8 is a hair shorter than 26in.

Ok.. I went back and put in 26.2 inches and you would go thru the traps at 126mph at around 6600rpm.. Damn it is hard to shoot holes in your story..

His mph is perfect when you consider tire growth in your calcs They are actually 26.3 without growth and will probably grow 1/2 an inch at 120mph. (So factor ~26.8 in your calculations) You will lose a bit to spin off the line but they match almost exactly. (Tires will turn a little even on a "dead" hook
His times seem totally legit to me.

Philip,

We might try to make it back out some time in med to late Feb. I have a few things I need to do first.I think you are going to do very well against the big boys.

p.s. I need to get a copy of the video from you, Jeff was telling me about it today.

brooke and raughhammer run 11.70s back 2yrs ago.people cried saying its b.s.,brooke runs 11.2s,again it was cried b.s.,mike hoffpauir runs 11.2s with cam only at 3500lbs,its looked at with doubt(by certain people),.killer air, some cars have stronger mid-range,some cars pull harder up top.some people shift better than others.some cars just work better than others.about a 1-1/2yrs ago i made up alittle post about some dude running 11.1xs or 11.0xs,at like 3300lbs,with 39x rwhp.the "SMART" guys said "NO WAY",with that weight ,that little hp.well guess what?seems like a few people have run that fast or faster n/a with 400 or less rwhp.with mid 1.4x 60fts.im not saying he DID do it,im not saying he DIDNT.but 3400lbs with 420rwhp.the numbers are very possible.it seems when person X goes faster than person Y,and person Y feels hes done everything, theres always to be thrown out.well ,theres always someone who can do it better and faster than others.deal with it.
