Default Will a 15" rim fit on a '00 SS with no modifications?

Ive got a 2000 Camaro SS and was looking into buying some drag wheels for it. I didnt know if a 15" wheel would fit because of the brake caliper. I dont want to modify it in any way, so what would be the smallest wheel that I could fit in the back? ...15" or 16" Give me exact #'s so that I can get some ordered. Meaning the width of the rim, backspacing, etc. Thanks

Only some Centerline 15" wheels will fit the rear without requiring grinding of the rear calipers. Only problem is that the wider you go, the more they will stick out.

All Weld 15" rims will require some grinding out back.

15x7.5 Convo pros for the rear and 15x4 up front should work fine. I know for sure the fronts fit with no problems, but I already had my rears grinded from when I had welds, but this is the same setup I have for my car right now. Shoot me an email and maybe we can hookup somehow around my hubby's work schedule to where you could use ours to test fit before you buy. We are on the south east side of Houston.

So would I be better off with a 16" wheel? I want to buy some Welds, but Im not sure on what style yet. Im not even sure if I want Weld or not either, but thats what I was shooting for. If I was to get a Weld wheel and put ET streets on it, what would be a good size wheel that will work for my car with no modifications. I want the wheel the widest I can get that works. Give me specs: width, backspacing, etc.

I know that it is probably heavier, but I wanted to get 16" rims for the back. Can you give me the widest # that I can go with a 16" rim, thanks? With that in mind, what would be the widest ET street that I could put on there that would fit properly and clear?

ALL Bogart 15 inch P1 series rims from 4 inches up to 9.75 widths fit on our cars FRONT AND REAR without modifications.

I know, I worked directly through Bogart providing proper measurements and testing the rims before production was initiated to the public as a direct fitment rim for an LS1 and LT1 rim.

There are MANY benifits of these rims over other competitors. I have listed a few in recent previous post so not to be redundant, I won't mention them here.

Email or call me if you need pricing or help with the rims.

You can view them on my website at:

Through me, depending on the rim your choosing, its really not that much of a difference. Approx about the cost of one additional rim and in some cases much less. Especially when considering most other rims you need to purchase spacers or grinding components to make them work and they still don't fit as well. The low cost of those other rims start to come up to my bogart pricing.

All in all if you weighed the many extra benifits of these rims, the difference in price is well justified.

It really also comes down to personal choices. Some people love weld or centerline rims and they wouldn't have anything else. I would never tell anyone that the rims look ugly or I hate them, they are nice standard built reliable rims. I personally love the Bogart design and the build, this is why I initiated these to be built with specific requirements for our cars. I also like the fact that everyone and their mother doesn't have them...at least not yet. It's really refreshing to know you can choose a variety of rims and still have them fit our car.

If you can't spend the extra little bit of cash to purchase Bogarts, I would honestly hold on to your money and purchase them later when you have the cash.

IF you see them in person from someone else, you will most likely be saying "Man I wish I had those". I have had a bunch of guys change over from the welds and centerlines to the bogarts. They wished the Bogarts were available when they purchased the other rims....enough preaching...lol I apologize if I seemed to ramble on.

To answer the above question regarding 16's, you can still go with the 9.75's. I would really reconsider the 15's though as not only will your traction be better due to the larger sidewall area, but your rims will receive less shock due to the larger sidewalls. This would be of any concern with any drag style companies rim. In addition, tire selection is good and should be less expensive with the 15's.

11.5 inch width tires will fit fine, this is also dependent of what overall tire diameter you choose. I have seen some guys even going to a 13.5 inch wide tire with alittle modification. Thats one big shoe on the car for sure! I myself have 28x11.5x15's on my car. But plan to go to the larger 13.5 tire.

Are those ET steet sizes and do they come in 26x11.5x15? So youre saying that the Bogart in a 15x9.75 will fit on my Camaro with no modifications at all? Thanks

Camarocain,

I am not trying to cause any problems with the moderators OR the board. PPO's has been restructuring. I am the person whom designed these when I was helping out PPO and sold them though PPO.

I am offering my help and knowlege base as I am VERY familar with these rims since I worked first hand in designing them to work on our cars.

You cannot at this time purchase these through PPO but can though my company which I have have been running for approx 7 years. I design and manufacture various components you see for sale on the net, some where sold as PPO items.

EVERY post concerning Bogart rims in the past was always written by me and was usually signed my me. The service that I am providing for any customer is second to none IT is VERY personalized and specific attention is done to ensure that these specific items work correctly. In addition, the price point that I carry them for is a benifit for all customers.

I would hope now that you would feel ok about my posts jnder my name "steve10".

I wanted to ditch my PFCM pads up front to get rid of the dusting, so I went with new Raybestos pads up there. This required a spacer up front. And then on the rears, I think my Moser build has placed the backing plates in a very slightly different spot, which made the caliper hit the Bogarts. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

FWIW. They do look good, tho...

Andrew,

You would be the only one that I have seen that had this problem. I have sold others to guys whom have moser rears and newer brake pads and they have not had the problems you have had nor has anyone EVER had to add a spacer.

I believe a few have had to clean up the flashing on the caliper which took a few minutes with a file. I've sold quite a bit of these rims and no one has stepped forward having the problems as your describing. I'm wondering if you received the LT1 versions. If this was the case, I can see how you'd be having this situation.

Are the aftermarket pads that you have abnormally thick?? If you had to use a spacer on the bogart rims, this means if you have welds on you'd be using a HUGE spacer would would really be compicating things rather then the normal 5/16 inch spacer up front which is bad enough. Same would go for centerline rims, you would definilty need spacing on those too, not to mention the rear welds would have never worked by grinding since you would be going through some bolt holes in the caliper.

Give me a call or send me an email of your telephone number if you get the chance, I'd like to speak with you. 412.739.8402
