never tired bfg's, but never heard much good about them. I've been running ET streets for 5 years and had great success!

et streets will provide alot better traction then BFGs but they sux for every day driveing if that bothers you. i have also tried both and i am currently running the BFGs right now. this is mainly because i have to drive 160 miles to the closest track and this is not fun on the ETs. i dont have any complantes on traction from them since they hooked up good enought to break my left axle shaft on my 10th launch with them. also there is two cars from SAM school in houston doing 9s with them on motor.

Depends on your setup -- without a 12 bolt I wouldnt recommend ET streets -- you will bust your rear. Without around 360+rwhp and decent gearing (~4.10+) you will most likely loose ET on ET streets, or certainly not see the type of advantage you were looking for.
I've run BFGs and 2 different sets of ET streets (on 16" and 15" rims). The BFGs I never had better than a 1.90 60', but once you got going they didnt spin anymore, so vastly superior to street tires and you can drive to the track with them. The ET streets I change at the track, they are too sticky and wear too easily for street driving in my opinion.
My car is an M6, so results vary --I know people doing 1.60 60's in an A4 on BFGs.

Not likely to happen if he's running an A4.
Quite often it's wheelhop that gets a rearend...especially with an M6. ET Streets are less likely to wheelhop than radial tires. I busted a stock rearend once with Nittos due to wheelhop...well, that and 500 RWHP!

dam colonel i wish my 10 bolt lasted that long. i broke my axle shaft with a completly stock engine including stock air box and filter with little baby 2000rmp launches, BFG DR and no wheel hop. i guess it is just bad luck on my part.

The BFG DR's should have a higher mph.
I plan on getting Nitto DR's for everday driving.
