Colonel's first TCI 3500 track results!
 

I ran the 1/8 today. It was a nice day. Clear skys but warm. No need for a coat, that's for sure. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Anyway, last time out I ran 1.83 8.11@86.28 (1/4 was 12.68 @ 107.64) with a sweet DA of -1610ft. The DA today was about +620 FT assuming a track altitude of 400 FT (I'm not positive on the altitude of this track but that's pretty close.)

Mods since last trip are a switch from my Yank 2400 to the TCI 3500, a shift kit, an underdrive pulley, QTP headers, and a QTEC electric exhaust cuttout (man I love that thing!)

The first pass was the best one since the track was hooking best then. I stalled it up to about 2300 and rolled into the throttle briskly.

1.62 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
7.501 (This should translate into 11.7s in the 1/4!!!)
89.75

I never could get it to hook quite that well again but man was a STOCKED! I had thought MAYBE a 1.65-1.67 with perfect traction but this thing no doubt has 1.5s in it with a set of ET Streets. This was done on Nittos and as I said, I did not hit the converter as hard as I could but rather rolled briskly into the throttle to better maintain traction.

Remember, FULL weight (minus spare and jack only), internally stock, 3.23 gears.

Sounds like that converter is working as well as similarly sized yanks and PI's.

I may even strap on a set of ET Streets and disconnect the front swaybar just to make sure I can pull some 1.5 60s. <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Between increasing the timing, raising the shift points, and deleting the TQ management I'd say a tenth at the most in the 1/8th. Call it 1.25 tenths in the 1/4.
